Key Generator
Receive a downloadable package of PHP and C source code and the related documentation that can be used to incorporate Armadillo* license key generation into your server-based applications. This will reduce support and manual process around license key distribution to your customers.
Vendor License: This license is for the software vendor, granting the ability to use this source code to generate Armadillo keys for the vendor's own use. This license expressly prohibits the use of this source code for offering Armadillo* key generation as a for-pay service to third parties.
Service License: This license is for use by Key Generation Service Providers and grants a license to use this source code as a part of a "for-pay" service to third parties. The download associated with this product includes two versions of the Armadillo* Key Generator:
1. PHP Source Code
2. C Source Code.
Both versions of the Armadillo* Key Generator source code supports all key systems and signature levels. This code will generate keys for any and all Armadillo-protected program that uses STANDARD Armadillo keys, given the keytext (referred to as the "encryption template" in the Armadillo documentation) for the associated security certificate.
License key generation is a CPU-intensive process. You should consider the volume (performance) requirements of keys to be generated when considering whether to use either the PHP or C source code versions. The performance of the C version is typically greater than with the PHP version.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!
- The key generator packages ONLY generate keys. They do not record them in a database or anywhere else, and they do not e-mail or display them to your customers; that is functionality that you'll need to provide yourself, customized for your particular environment. This source code should only be purchased if you have or can obtain the necessary development skills, as helping with your server setup is beyond the scope of support that we can provide.
